    FACULTY POSITION IN TRATEGIC MANAGEMENT & ENTREPRENEURSHIP

    The Department of Management in the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia seeks qualified applicants  for a full-time tenure-track or tenured position in Strategic Management & Entrepreneurship at the Assistant, senior Assistant, or junior Associate level, with an anticipated employment start date of August 1, 2022. Our search is focused on candidates interested in teaching courses focused on innovation, entrepreneurship, intrapreneurship, and organizational change as part of a college-wide strategic initiative focused on these topics. While we have a preference for scholars performing high-quality research in these same areas, we are open to reviewing applications from scholars with a wide range of interests in the broader Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship space. The successful candidate's rank at appointment will be determined based on qualifications and experience. Applicants in the process of completing their Ph.D., who currently hold the rank of assistant professor, or who are appointed as an associate professor with 1 to 3 years' experience post-promotion are encouraged to apply.

    In recent years, UGA and the Terry College of Business have launched several initiatives centered on the themes of entrepreneurship, innovation, and economic development with physical spaces centered on the "Innovation District" in downtown Athens (https://innovation.uga.edu/about/). Studio 225 (https://www.terry.uga.edu/entrepreneurship/studio-225.php), which opened in 2019, is our student center for entrepreneurship activities. The Innovation Hub (https://news.uga.edu/innovation-hub-opening/), opened in 2021, provides a home for UGA's startup venture efforts, experiential learning activities, and serves as the university's front door for industry engagement. Beyond Athens, our Executive Education Center in Atlanta (https://www.terry.uga.edu/about/campuses-atlanta-buckhead.php) connects us to corporate Atlanta, its growing FinTech community, and the world. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to be a part of these growing initiatives.

    Athens, Georgia is generally regarded as one of the best college towns in the United States. It is nicknamed "The Classic City" because of its architecture and vibrant music, art, and food scene.
