    As part of its strategic plan, the School of Business at George Mason University is seeking to recruit for multiple Tenured Faculty positions (Senior Associate or Full Professor), seeking those with a record of impactful research and excellent teaching. Candidates may identify with any discipline of business or be interdisciplinary in their approach. In addition, candidates specifically studying emerging areas that are critical to addressing the Digital Transformation of Work, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and Ensuring Global Futures are encouraged to apply. Positions are available beginning as early as Spring 2021.

    Responsibilities:

    The successful candidate will be expected to lead impactful initiatives in the School as a senior faculty member, such as interdisciplinary research, partnerships with industry and government, proposing a center, and new academic and executive education programs. Other responsibilities will include publications in top-tier academic and practitioner journals; media outreach; teaching courses in undergraduate, graduate, and executive programs; obtaining external funding; and engagement with the area, school, university, and profession. The teaching load for this position is determined according to the School's workload policy.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Evidence of impactful scholarship and industry engagement;
    • Earned Ph.D. in a business discipline or a related field;
    • Demonstrated record of scholarly and professional accomplishments;
    • Commitment to excellence in teaching, including evidence of effective teaching at the undergraduate, graduate, or executive levels;
    • Evidence of leadership and good citizenship in terms of school, university and professional engagement, including facilitation of interdisciplinary research and development of industry/non-profit/government partnerships.
