    Dear colleagues,

The Narendra Paul Loomba Department of Management of the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College is seeking to fill an open position of Lecturer in Entrepreneurship.  This is a non-tenure-track position; however, Lecturers are eligible for a certificate of continuous employment after five years of satisfactory continuous full‑time service in the title of Lecturer.

The entrepreneurship group has recently revised its curriculum to help students develop an entrepreneurial mindset, or the ability to see and the willingness to pursue opportunity where others cannot. Whether in the context of a new venture, a large established company, a non-profit organization, or a government agency, whether in the field of technology, finance, health, education, or the arts, we seek to help our students apply entrepreneurial thinking to conceive of and deliver new value in innovative ways to users, beneficiaries, customers, and society-at-large. Given this focus, we are particularly interested in candidates with expertise, experience, and/or interest in teaching at the intersection of creativity, innovation, design, and/or technology as they relate to entrepreneurial thinking and behavior (i.e., not just startup).

In addition to teaching entrepreneurship courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, successful candidates will also contribute to the strategic goals of the Lawrence N. Field Center for Entrepreneurship, which offers an array of services, including curricular and co-curricular programs, professional advisement, and technology training, to its stakeholders.

Baruch College, one of 11 senior colleges of the City University of New York, is located in the historic Gramercy/Flatiron district in Manhattan, New York City. With more than 18,000 students, who speak more than 110 languages and trace their heritage to more than 170 countries, Baruch College has repeatedly been named one of the most ethnically diverse student bodies in the United States. The Zicklin School of Business is the largest AACSB-accredited business school in the United States and offers an array of full-time, part-time, executive, and honors programs leading to BBA, MBA, MS, and PhD degrees. The Narendra Paul Loomba Department of Management includes a faculty group of approximately 100 full-time and part-time faculty engaged in teaching and research related to an array of subject matter areas including Business, Society, and Sustainability; Entrepreneurship; Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management; Operations Management; and Strategic Management.

    QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree and the ability to teach successfully. Candidates must also have either been an entrepreneur, worked for an innovative organization, and/or possess demonstrated knowledge of creativity, innovation, design, and/or technology as they relate to entrepreneurial thinking and behavior. Finally, candidates must be self-starters and have excellent written and oral communication skills. Preferred qualifications include a master's degree, prior teaching experience, and experience with learning management systems and other teaching-related technologies.
