Bentley University offers PhD programs in both Accountancy and Business (with specializations in Management, Information Systems, Marketing, and other areas). We anticipate admitting up to four highly qualified students in the area of Management for our fall 2019 class.

Bentley's Management department is an inclusive community committed to producing high quality research. Our distinguished faculty has received many research and teaching awards from the university and professional organizations.

Bentley is a global leader in business education, located just nine miles from the heart of Boston. We are one of only two PhD programs in the United States accredited by both AACSB and EQUIS, and the only program in the United States with membership in the European Doctoral Association in Management and Business Education (EDAMBA). Our graduate and undergraduate business programs are consistently ranked among the best in the country.

At Bentley, we care about the success of every student and take a highly personalized approach to doctoral education. We provide an interdisciplinary understanding of business and in-depth knowledge in a student's chosen field. The PhD in Business includes a full range of methods and analysis courses, including qualitative and quantitative. In line with Bentley's reputation for teaching excellence, students also shadow courses and attend a teaching workshop to prepare them for their future instructional responsibilities.

Doctoral students receive a faculty advisor in their area of interest from day one. Students will work with their advisor on research projects over the course of the program, and are able to work with other faculty from across the university. Doctoral students are mentored in teaching and will have the opportunity to teach during their program. A supportive, team-oriented work environment promotes personal development and professional accomplishment.

The Bentley PhD program prepares students for tenure-track positions at research-oriented universities. Our PhD program is offered on a full-time basis. We support our students with free tuition and student health insurance, plus a generous stipend for the first four years, with a fifth year of funding possible. Students also receive research and conference support.
