    Politecnico di Milano School of Management (SoM) is seeking candidates for PhD positions in Management Engineering. The PhD Program in Management Engineering (DRIG) is a full time (3 years) Program of study and research at the intersection of management, economics, and industrial engineering.

    SoM has a strong commitment to excellence in both teaching and research. The DRIG Ph.D. prepares candidates for high-level academic research. Moreover, when choosing to find a job in the private sector, DRIG PhD graduates achieve high-level positions, good salaries and, overall, good employment outcomes (95% employed).

    The DRIG Ph.D. has a personalized study plan. While preparing their Ph.D. thesis under the guidance of their supervisors, DRIG Ph.D. students are encouraged to "think out of the box" and combine multiple theories and methods. The Program also includes courses, which teach students diverse methods and perspectives.

    HOW TO APPLY

    The next cohort starts in November 2019 with eleven fully-funded scholarships. Candidates can apply online at the link: http://www.phd-admission.polimi.it, where they can also find information on the application procedure and eligibility criteria. The deadline for applications is May 21st 2019, 14:00 (CEST time).

    ·     People engagement in Innovation Systems

    ·     Policy and Innovation for social impact

    ·     Seed and start-up finance

    ·     Sustainability and Circularity of Industrial Systems

    ·     Organization 4.0: alternative models of work organization and technological applications in Smart Manufacturing

    ·     The challenge of sustainability in digital supply chains

     

    Three topic scholarships on:

    ·       "Internationalisation and skills in the digital era", in collaboration with the University of Reading – Henley Business School (UK), supervisors: Prof. Lucia Piscitello and Prof. Davide Castellani

    ·     "The exponential organization: Emerging organizational models in the era of digital disruption", supervisor: Prof. Mariano Corso

    ·       "Design thinking and digital technologies – Discovering quiescent meanings in emerging digital technologies", in collaboration with the Design Department, supervisors: Prof. Claudio Dell'Era and Prof. Cabirio Cautela

    Candidates interested in applying for one (or more) topic scholarships, must explicitly select this (these) scholarship(s) during the application procedure.

    Each scholarship is about 1,400 net per months; it increases by 50% during the six month-period, which Ph.D. students spend abroad. Ph.D. students can increase their salary by teaching and tutoring activities.

    The Ph.D. Selection Committee will assess applicants basing on their research proposal and CV; short-listed applicants will be interviewed.
