We would like to invite you to join us for the AOM Entrepreneurship Division Late Career Consortium – Session 164 – at AOM this year.
Type of Session: Live - Remote
Day: Friday July 30th
Time: 14:00 to 15:30 EDT
The Late Career consortium focuses on the career and life questions of late-career faculty (i.e., PhD + 15 years or more). The aim of the consortium is to help scholars in late career manage the new demands of this career stage and to take advantage of the new opportunities and career transitions that arise.
The moderators for this year are: Kim Eddleston and Roland Kidwell
This is the agenda for our event:
Opening Presentation: Ariane Froidevaux (from Careers Division) will start the consortium by discussing career transitions and late careers. (https://mentis.uta.edu/explore/profile/ariane-froidevaux).
Benefits of Social Media - Alfredo De Massis, on the use of social media in communicating with students and engaging in research, including publicizing your research.
Entering (or escaping) Administration - Donna De Carolis, Jon Carr, on becoming an administrator and then getting out of that role when you come to your senses.
Community Engagement – Roland Kidwell, on community service, podcast, consulting, center directorship and other outreach activities.
Mentoring Junior Faculty – Isabel Botero, Kerri Cissna. We hope that a representative from the 2020 E-Encounters will join us to briefly describe the program.
We look forward to seeing you.
