    OVERVIEW

    The Schulze School of Entrepreneurship, which is part of the Opus College of Business, invites applications for a tenure track faculty position in Entrepreneurship, at the Assistant or Associate level.  At the Schulze School of Entrepreneurship, we train students to create environments where entrepreneurial ideas can flourish, to identify and evaluate new opportunities, and to transform innovations into sustainable businesses. The preferred start date is September 2019.

     

    Candidates with expertise in all areas of Entrepreneurship are welcome to apply.  The department offers a concentration in Entrepreneurship, and teaches a core entrepreneurship class in the undergraduate business core, and in the various MBA programs, so there are multiple opportunities for teaching.    

     

    St. Thomas is located in the vibrant Minneapolis-St Paul area, one of the nation's top 25 metro areas.  We have a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem of accelerators, organized mentoring, meetup events, and many new venture investors.  Combine that with a visible corporate presence of 17 Fortune 500 headquarters plus a diversified list of other companies with offices in the metro area, and you have a very strong, supportive business community that attracts bright, talented, people.   In fact, a recent study found the Minneapolis St. Paul metro area has grown 8% since the 2010 census, the fastest growing of the four Midwest cities in the nation's top 25 metro areas.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    A Ph.D or DBA in Entrepreneurship, Management, or other relevant discipline is required for this position.  Candidates who are ABD with evidence of PhD completion before September 1, 2019 will be considered.  Applicants must be able to demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and show strong potential for productive research/scholarly activities in entrepreneurship.
