    Hello everyone,

Would any of you teaching entrepreneurship for non-business majors such as music, performing arts etc., be able to share some resources for teaching a course in Entrepreneurship in the Creative Industries?

Some suggestions on books and/or readings would be greatly appreciated.

    best regards,
    Raja

    Hi Raja,
We have 50 courses across campus blended with entrepreneurship. Creative Cross-Disciplinary Entrepreneurship: A Practical Guide (Palgrave Macmillan) would be a good starting point and has syllabi, etc. Feel free to contact me for more assistance.

    Raja,

I suggest using the Disciplined Entrepreneurship approach. There is a book, a workbook, a toolbox and tons of good videos on Youtube: https://www.d-eship.com/

If you like a syllabus, I would be happy to share it with you.

    Best,
    Golshan

    Raja,

I teach a course on Entrepreneurship in music, but use resources focused on the creative industries in general. There is a society of Arts Entrepreneurship Educators who've done a fair amount of work in this arena too, and I'm happy to put you in touch if you'd like. Also more than willing to pass along resources. I teach my students about effectuation, and use a revised version of the business model canvas focused on Arts & Culture organizations to help them chart out a reasonable value proposition. Happy to send along a syllabus or talk directly.
