The Department of Management and Entrepreneurship in the School of Business at Virginia Commonwealth University invites applicants for a full-time tenure track faculty position in Management at the rank of Assistant Professor.  We seek candidates with research and teaching interests in the area strategic management.  Primary teaching responsibilities will be for our undergraduate capstone course in strategic management, with additional teaching possible at the MBA or doctoral level.

Qualifications: Candidates should have a doctorate in management or a closely related field from an AACSB accredited institution.  ABD candidates will be considered if the degree will be completed prior to start date.  Teaching and research interests in strategic management are required.  Candidates must have teaching experience and be able to teach our undergraduate capstone strategy course.  Candidates should have the ability to publish in top-tier peer reviewed academic journals and have an active research agenda.  Research interests in innovation or entrepreneurship would align well with the strategic plan of the School of Business, but this is not a requirement; we are open to candidates with research interests in all areas of strategy.  We seek candidates who have good communication skills, demonstrated commitment to excellence in both teaching and research, and a desire to work collaboratively with colleagues.  Prior industry work experience is a plus.  A commitment to working with diverse students, faculty, and staff is required.  Candidates must be eligible for employment in the United States.
