    Are you a strategic thinker with experience managing a team of people overseeing multiple programs? Have you found yourself sharing entrepreneurship and small business insights and advice with others? Do you have a passion for supporting the military community in their life after service?

    If you answered yes to these questions, then you need to take a closer look at the following opportunity with the Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF) at Syracuse University.

    The IVMF is seeking an energetic and experienced individual to serve as an Associate Director to support the Entrepreneurship portfolio which currently includes 11 national programs, Center of Excellence for Veteran Entrepreneurship (COE), and Coalition for Veteran Owned Business (CVOB). The Associate Director position will support the growing Entrepreneurship portfolio and will assist the Director of Entrepreneurship in the development of tools, resources, programming, and thought leadership to advance the state of veteran- and military spouse-owned businesses.

    Key Responsibilities include:

    • Developing and cultivating partnerships
    • Enhancing the entrepreneurship ecosystem
    • Growing opportunities for veteran and military family businesses in the public marketplace as suppliers to the private sector and in supply chains
    • Driving knowledge and publications around challenges and resources for military connected entrepreneurs
    • Designing and building mechanisms to track metrics and progress across mission area
    • Assistance in grant, proposal, and contract development

    The Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF) at Syracuse University is the nation's premier organization empowering service members, veterans, and their families through actionable research, innovative programs, and insightful analytics. Established in 2011 and supported by a world-class advisory board and public and private partners, the IVMF's professional staff delivers unique and innovative programs in career, vocations, and entrepreneurship education and training. This position collaborates with the top-ranked entrepreneurship program and faculty at the Whitman School of Management. To date, more than 150,000 transitioning service members, veterans, and military family members have been impacted by IVMF programs, operating in 46 states, two U.S. territories, and seven countries.
