    Job Overview

    The Department of Management of the University of Cincinnati's Lindner College of Business is seeking applications for two tenure-track, open-rank faculty positions in the area of organizational behavior, which begin in Fall 2022. Rank is commensurate with credentials. 

    The Department is home to two active centers that provide faculty with opportunities for research, data collection, and networking in these areas: The Center for Entrepreneurship and the Goering Center for Family and Private Business. Lindner's Center for Entrepreneurship is closely linked to the 1819 Innovation Hub and Digital Futures, which are part of the larger Cincinnati Innovation District, home to numerous Fortune 50/500 corporate partners.

    Essential Functions

    The selected candidates will conduct research and publish, as well as teach core and elective courses, related to their discipline in organizational behavior, entrepreneurship and/or family business (as specified in Minimum Qualifications).

    Minimum Requirements

    • Prior to start date of this position, selected candidates must have completed a doctorate in organizational behavior or a related field from an AACSB accredited university.  
    • Successful candidates must have taught at least one course in Management or a related area at the undergraduate or graduate level, which could have been as a teaching assistant or full-time faculty.
    • Selected candidates must demonstrate focused and productive research programs with at least one publication, including other work under review or under revision. We are seeking faculty whose research relates to entrepreneurship (e.g., innovation, creativity, product development, design) and/or family business (e.g., conflict, negotiation, leadership). 

    Our faculty members are actively engaged in research and have published in the leading journals, among them: Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Organizational Research Methods, and Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice.  In addition to research, our Department has a strong commitment to quality teaching.

    The University of Cincinnati (UC) is classified as a Doctoral University, Highest Research Activity, by the Carnegie Commission. The College is part of a comprehensive research institution that is the second largest state university in Ohio, with a total enrollment of over 46,000 students. The Lindner College of Business enrolls approximately 4,000 undergraduates, 900 master's students (includes online), and 45 doctoral students, and our programs are fully accredited by the AACSB.
