I will be at the Academy of Management meeting, and have time on Tuesday morning to talk to those interested. If interested, please email me at jerome.katz@slu.edu or catch me around AOM. The formal announcement is below:

    Saint Louis University
    Medart Professor in Family Business

The Department of Management at the Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business is seeking applications for the inaugural Medart Clinical Professor in Family Business to start in the Spring Semester of 2020. This is a non-tenure track position.

While the position will be housed in the Department of Management, the successful candidate will also work closely with the Institute for Private Business which is part of the Richard A. Chaifetz Center for Entrepreneurship. The position will have a clinical as opposed to a research focus. As such, the ideal candidate will have a record of excellence in both classroom teaching and in working with entrepreneurs and family businesses. While a terminal degree in business is preferred (e.g., PhD or DBA), individuals holding an MBA, JD, or a similar graduate degree, will also be considered. Experience with both experiential and team-based teaching is also desired.

Entrepreneurship is one of three distinct majors offered by the Management Department, the others being Leadership & Human Resources Management and Sports Business. Our Entrepreneurship program is currently nationally ranked by U.S. News & World Reports as the 18th best undergraduate program and 12th best graduate program. Further, it has been ranked in the top 25 for over 25 years and is supported by the Richard A. Chaifetz Center for Entrepreneurship.

Interested candidates should apply online at https://jobs.slu.edu/. Review of applicants will begin on August 15, 2019. If you have questions about the position you can contact Dr. Jerome Katz, at jerome.katz@slu.edu or 314-977-3864. To learn more about Saint Louis University, please visit http://www.slu.edu.
