The Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications and the College of Liberal Arts at Penn State University are seeking a tenure line Assistant Professor starting in Fall 2022, to be appointed jointly between the Department of Telecommunications in the Bellisario College and the Department of Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies (WGSS) in the College of Liberal Arts. The candidate's tenure home will be in the Department of Telecommunications, and they will teach courses and perform service in both departments.
We are looking for a scholar who will be able to contribute to research, teaching and service on areas of mutual interest for Telecommunications and WGSS. Scholars who use a feminist intersectional perspective to address questions of law, policy, economics, management, ICT4D, entrepreneurship, innovation, gaming, technology studies and data analytics in media and telecommunications are desirable. Candidates who use international, transnational and/or global perspectives are encouraged to apply. A Ph.D., JD or comparable terminal degree is required by the start date.
