Greetings from Chico, California.
Allow me to introduce myself. I am the founder and Executive Director of http://sageglobal.org, an entrepreneurship program that offers curriculum, mentoring, and competition to teenagers around the world. I am also an accouinting professor who specializes in helping teens start real businesses. I have two important things I'd like to share with you.
First, we will be offering an Entrepreneurship Teacher Training Workshop at California State University, Chico on January 18-19, 2019. The training course is designed for any teacher (e.g., CTE, DECA, FBLA) who wants to blend an entrepreneurship component into their courses. For details, go to http://sagetris.com.
The new course, "Turning Risk into Success: An Entrepreneurship Program for Teens and Young Adults," is getting positive reviews. Sample lesson topics include:
Brainstorming | Using Excel to Make Your Life Easier |
Design Thinking | Doing Business Globally |
Personal Budgeting | Crowdfunding |
Lean Canvas Business Plan | Social Entrepreneurship |
Cash Management | Intellectual Property |
Using Math to Make Business Decisions | Pitching Your Business Idea |
Digital Marketing | Running the Business |
Second, we want to start SAGE in your area. Check out http://sageglobal.org. Teens start businesses. They receive free mentoring from university students. And then they compete on a national stage, receiving free lodging and meals.
