    With apologies for cross-posting...

The PhD Program in Management at Florida Atlantic University is now accepting applications.

    Why Florida Atlantic University?

Faculty members in the Management Programs department have a wide range of research interests and have published in the field's top-rated journals including Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, Organization Studies, Journal of Business Venturing, Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice, Journal of International Business Studies, Management International Review, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Cross Cultural Psychology, Leadership Quarterly, Human Resource Management and others.

The Management PhD program at FAU adheres to a very individualized, one-on-one mentoring philosophy.  Our students are paired early on in the program with at least one faculty mentor who shares their research interests.  The program generally consists of two years of coursework, followed by exams and dissertation.  The program takes a minimum of four years to complete.  While there are some required classes, students are able to tailor their program of study to their interests through electives.  The program is AACSB-accredited.  Our students regularly present their research at prestigious conferences, and many have publications prior to graduation.  Job placements are strong, with our students obtaining positions at universities nationwide.

How can students finance the program?

If admitted to the program, students receive a $24,000 stipend per academic year, plus tuition waivers.  In addition, students often have teaching and research assistantship opportunities in the summer for additional pay.

    How can students apply?

Prospective students can obtain all necessary information and forms on our website, www.business.fau.edu/masters-phd/phd-program/index.aspx.  The application deadline is January 15 for admission in the fall semester.

    About FAU

Florida Atlantic University (www.fau.edu) is one of several state universities in Florida.  FAU opened its doors in 1964 as the first public university in southeast Florida and the first in America designed for upper division students only. Since day one, FAU has pushed the bounds of higher education. Now, 50 years later, the University serves 29,000 freshmen, transfers and graduate students on several campuses and sites.  Students choose from more than 170 degree programs, faculty researchers utilize more than 40 research centers and the community engages hundreds of cultural and educational events every year.  The College of Business at FAU is AACSB accredited, and named as one of the 2011 "Best Business Schools" by The Princeton Review.  The first Management PhD was given in 1993.

    Life in South Florida

Armed with a year round outdoor lifestyle that includes anything from going to the beach, kayaking and surfing, to exploring the Everglades on an airboat, or sailing out for deep sea fishing, students can enjoy the tropical temperatures of South Florida well into the winter months. For those not into water sports, South Florida is a hub for world-class shopping, great restaurants and celebrated nightlife, along with prominent museums, theaters, historic sites, and a vibrant art community.  South Florida, also home to the largest cruise port in the world, is accessible from three international airports (Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach). With campuses located in Boca Raton and  the Fort Lauderdale area, students quickly learn to take advantage the South Florida lifestyle!  For more information, visit https://www.thepalmbeaches.com
