    Dear Colleagues,

     

    Besides being professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship at George Mason,  I am affiliated with a not-for-profit called TiE DC that is focused on fostering entrepreneurship in our region.      TiE DC is pleased to announce the TiE DC University PitchFest for college/university students across Washington DC, Maryland & Virginia (DC, MD and VA). This is a FREE competition to students. Three teams will win cash prizes for participating and winning: 1st Prize $5,000, 2nd Prize $3,000, and 3rd  Prize $2,000.

     

    Additionally, the pitch offers:

    ·      Mentoring and coaching from the network of TiE and other successful entrepreneurs

    ·      In-kind prizes for building your start up 

    ·      Access to capital from investors and network of TiEDC as well as TiE Global

    ·      The winning team (TiE DC team) in the University PitchFest competition will be invited to present in the TiE Global competition that offers more than $50,000 cash and in-kind prizes for the winners

    ·      Pitch submission Deadline: March 15, 2021 at: https://dc.tie.org/tie-university/

    ·      PitchFest for TiE DC will be held on April 17, 2021 (Virtual)

    ·      Open to - Current students from Colleges/Universities and students graduates from 2019 and 2020
