    Open Rank Professor of Entrepreneurship

MICHAEL F. PRICE COLLEGE OF BUSINESS - THE UNIVERSITY OF OKLAHOMA

The University of Oklahoma, Michael F. Price College of Business, is pleased to announce that applications and nominations are being accepted for an Open Rank (depending on qualifications) Professor of Entrepreneurship beginning in fall of 2022. Applicants will be considered for appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank based on achievements and experience. Endowed professorships/chairs may be available for qualified candidates at the Associate or Full rank. The intent is to identify a current or emerging scholar in entrepreneurship. Applications will be reviewed starting October 11th and the process will continue until the position is filled.

Entrepreneurship is a top priority of the University of Oklahoma and the Price College of Business. In the strategic plans for both the University and Price College, entrepreneurship is specifically highlighted and will continue to play a pivotal role. This commitment is demonstrated by an academic department - the Tom Love Division of Entrepreneurship & Economic Development - that offers undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral level degree programs in entrepreneurship. Both our undergraduate and graduate entrepreneurship programs have consistently ranked among the leading programs in the United States. Our faculty are highly research active and publish regularly in leading entrepreneurship and management journals.

Candidates must have a PhD in entrepreneurship, management, or a related field, or be a PhD student nearing completion in one of those areas. Evidence of high-level scholarly contributions or the potential to create such contributions to a relevant literature is required. Candidates for more senior ranks should have a broadly recognized research record, extensive teaching experience in entrepreneurship, including at the graduate level, and related qualifications for tenure at the Associate Professor level or above at the University of Oklahoma. Applicants must also be committed to excellence in teaching, to collegiality, and to fulfilling the mission of the Price College (https://www.ou.edu/price).

This position offers a highly competitive salary along with research and travel support. Teaching responsibilities may include undergraduate courses in entrepreneurship or similar courses in our MBA program, which has various formats, including online and/or in person. While undergraduate courses are offered on the main campus in Norman, graduate courses are typically delivered at the Gene Rainbolt Graduate School of Business in the heart of Oklahoma City at OU's University Research Park on the Health Sciences Center campus (https://www.ou.edu/price/mba).

The University of Oklahoma is a comprehensive research university offering a wide range of undergraduate, masters and Ph.D. programs plus an extensive continuing education and public service program. The Michael F. Price College of Business is AACSB accredited at all levels with approximately 5,000 students in bachelors, masters, and Ph.D. programs.

The city of Norman, Oklahoma is a vibrant community of approximately 120,000 residents and is often ranked among the best in the nation in terms of cost of living. The OU Campus is home to the Fred Jones Museum of Art, featuring a collection of impressionistic art valued at over $100 million including works of Degas, Monet, Cassatt, Van Gogh, Pissarro, Renoir, and others. The campus also houses the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History, which won the National Medal for Museum and Library Science in 2014. In 2015, CBS Sports named the University of Oklahoma as having the best collegiate athletics program in the country.

Located less than twenty miles from Norman, Oklahoma City is home to an international airport, numerous restaurants, retailers, NBA Basketball (Oklahoma City Thunder), AAA Baseball, USL Soccer, a world-class symphony, ballet, a travelling Broadway Series, and the Oklahoma City Museum of Art which boasts one of the world's most comprehensive collections from famed glass artist Dale Chihuly.
