We are looking in particular for candidates with academic experience post-PhD (either as assistant professors or post-docs) and with research interests at the meso- and macro-levels of analysis.     Description

    Johns Hopkins Carey Business School invites applications for two full-time, tenure-track faculty positions at the assistant professor level in management and organization. The appointment will begin fall 2022. We welcome applications from candidates motivated by the unique opportunity to participate in building a world-class business school at a premier private university.

     

    The Management and Organization group at the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School consists of a collegial group of faculty members who are actively publishing in top management and disciplinary journals and have varied interests including management and organizational behavior, organization theory, psychology, and healthcare management.

     

    Qualifications

    Qualified candidates for a tenure-track faculty position must have the following:

    • A PhD degree in management, organizational behavior, organization theory, or a related field conferred by employment start date.
    • Demonstrated commitment to academic research and excellence in teaching.

     

    Ideal candidates will have academic experience post-PhD (i.e., as an assistant professor or post-doc) and an academic record consistent with an advanced tenure-track assistant professor. We are seeking, in particular, candidates with research interests at the meso- and macro-level, including work on group processes, organizational innovation, and strategy. 

     

    Teaching responsibilities will include MBA/MS-level courses on management, strategy, and innovation. Evidence of successful teaching in a graduate business school environment is desirable but not required.

    Applications received by November 1, 2021 will receive full review by the Search Committee. Interviews will be conducted thereafter. The search will continue until the positions are filled.
