    Tenure-Track Assistant Professor Position in Strategy at Florida Atlantic University

    The College of Business at Florida Atlantic University (FAU) invites applications for a tenure-track position in Strategy at the rank of Assistant (Senior Assistant Preferred) or Associate Professor, to begin in Fall 2020. The successful candidate must have completed a doctoral degree from an AACSB accredited (or equivalent) university in Strategy, Management or a closely related field by time of appointment. A supporting interest in International Business or Entrepreneurship is preferred. Documented refereed research accomplishments in the form of publications in top-tier strategy and management journals as well as evidence of excellence in teaching is required. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to an atmosphere of collegiality in the department. The position entails publishing impactful research in top-tier journals, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses primarily at FAU's Davie campus, and contributing to service activities in the department and the college.

The main campus is in the city of Boca Raton located 50 miles north of Miami. The College has a total enrollment of more than 8000 students 20 % of which are enrolled in graduate programs.  In 2019, US News and World Report has ranked FAU's College of Business among its list of the top 50 online graduate business programs.

    The Department of Management Programs (https://business.fau.edu/departments/management/) offers a diverse set of undergraduate and graduate programs in management, entrepreneurship, international business, health administration, leadership and sports management. The department's PhD program has been recently restructured to highlight an Entrepreneurship focus. The department employs 38 faculty members with diverse research interests in the areas of strategic management, general management, entrepreneurship, international business, leadership, organizational behavior, human resource management and healthcare management. Faculty publish in outlets such as Academy of Management Review, Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Business Ethics, Leadership Quarterly, Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology among others. Faculty serve on several editorial boards and routinely take administrative roles in major conferences.

    The Davie Campus, the location for this position, is FAU's second largest campus with more than 5,000 students taking classes at this location. Conveniently located in central Broward County with Broward College as part of the South Florida Education Center, FAU Davie offers coursework in 30 degree programs. The campus features more than 300,000 square feet of labs, classrooms, offices and a jointly administered library. The campus is home to the Florida Center for Environmental Studies, the Freight Mobility Research Institute, the STEM Education Center, and the LeRoy Collins Public Ethics Academy.

    Prior to appointment, the candidate must submit official, sealed transcripts from all institutions where graduate coursework was attempted, whether or not a degree was obtained, as well as an original NACES evaluation, if applicable. Transcripts must be issued to Florida Atlantic University not to you as the student.

    A background check will be required for the candidate selected for this position. This position is subject to funding.
