AOM 2021: PDW on
Stakeholder Engagement: Opening up Participation, Inclusion, and Democracy
Deadline: July 7, 2021
Organizers
Itziar Castelló, University of Surrey
Frank de Bakker, IÉSEG School of Management
Laura Marie Edinger-Schons, University of Mannheim
Hannah Trittin-Ulbrich, Leuphana University of Lüneburg
Matthias Wenzel, Leuphana University of Lüneburg
Aims
The PDW is a companion of the Business & Society special issue call for papers on "Stakeholder Engagement: Opening up Participation, Inclusion, and Democracy" (https://journals.sagepub.com/pb-assets/cmscontent/BAS/CfP_Stakeholder_Engagement-1611936667513.pdf). It has two objectives. First, the PDW aims to focus attention on the relevance of examining the conditions, processes, and consequences of various dimensions of stakeholder engagement. Second, it aims to help authors of manuscripts related to this theme develop their papers based on feedback by leading scholars in the field. Per the special issue, participation in the PDW is optional and will not guarantee publication in the special issue.
Asynchronous Format
The organizers will provide the participants with a video in which they highlight the relevance and cornerstones of the PDW (and CfP) theme.
The participants will, then, discuss their paper ideas in two two-hour virtual roundtable sessions, which will be led by leading scholars in the field.
