    Lecturer (Non-Tenure Track) Faculty Position in Management

    The Belk College of Business at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte invites applications for a full-time Lecturer (non-tenure track) Faculty position in the Department of Management. This is a nine-month faculty appointment starting Fall 2022. Initial appointment is for 2 years with an opportunity for renewal.

    Qualifications

    The successful candidate will have earned a master's degree or higher in management or a related field. Previous teaching experience in a business school is preferred. Ideal candidates will have a successful record of prior professional business experience (preferably entrepreneurial), and leadership responsibilities.

    Essential Functions of the Job

    This position is focused on teaching excellence educating a diverse population of students while building a supportive, culturally diverse environment in the classroom. The expected teaching load is four courses per semester (fall and spring), and may include large classes (65-100 students), and delivery methods of face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online delivery using a course management system.   Primary teaching responsibilities include teaching at the undergraduate level in the areas of Management, such as Entrepreneurship, Employment Law, Ethics, Human Resources, International Business, Leadership, Managerial Communications, Organizational Behavior, and/or Strategic Management. Experience is considered relevant and desirable.

    The position additionally includes service responsibilities such as contributing to assessment of student learning outcomes, student advising, student-centered activities, faculty governance, and committee service to support the mission and priorities of the department, college, and university.

    Lecturers are responsible for meeting and sustaining their professional qualifications as defined within the Belk College Policy on Qualified Faculty Status.
