    Assistant Teaching Professor in Management-Entrepreneurship area (NTT)

     

    The Department of Management in the Robert J. Trulaske, Sr. College of Business at the University of Missouri (MU) invites applicants with excellent teaching credentials in entrepreneurship for a full-time non-tenure track (NTT position). The minimum requirement is evidence of a PhD in entrepreneurship, management, or a related area by the start date of August 19, 2019.  The ideal candidate will have experience teaching entrepreneurship, experience as an entrepreneur, and experience helping students develop new ventures.  We seek applicants with these skills: ability to engage students in both large and small section formats and in both face-to-face and hybrid online formats, effective use of a variety of assessment methods, familiarity with learning management systems for grade management and reporting, and collegiality in service roles involving curriculum design, integration, and evaluation. 

     

    The successful candidate will help the department's entrepreneurship initiatives such as the M.S. in Entrepreneurship degree, the Department of Management Entrepreneurship minor, and the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.  These activities include, but are not limited to, the following:  

     

    • create, develop, manage and publicize special entrepreneurship-related events and programs;
    • assist the formulation and implementation of short and long-term strategies and policies for the Department and the Center consistent with the TCoB mission and vision;
    • assist in building collaborative relationships with important stakeholders in the university and community.

      The Trulaske College of Business consists of approximately 65 full-time faculty members who serve approximately 5,000 undergraduates, 285 master's students, and 35 doctoral students. The Department of Management consists of 11 tenure-track faculty members and 9 full-time teaching faculty who share a strong commitment to excellence in research and teaching. We expect significant new hiring throughout the Management Department over the next five years.  More information can be found at http://business.missouri.edu
