Applicants must be pursuing a Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship or a related field from an AACSB-accredited institution. To be considered, candidates must provide convincing evidence that their doctorate degree will be completed by position start date. The search committee will verify this by contacting the graduate school of the individual's program. Candidates must also have the interest and ability to effectively teach courses in entrepreneurship areas of need and conduct research with colleagues.

    Preferred Job Qualifications

We seek individuals who aspire to develop research programs within the broad area of how entrepreneurship can contribute to societal well-being. For example, questions such as how will increases in rates of entrepreneurship affect the broader wellbeing of a broad variety of stakeholders within society? How can a broader range of stakeholders be enrolled and engaged in the initial stages of venturing to support the success of ventures and the communities in which they are embedded? What role will social and sustainable entrepreneurship play in enabling business for a better world? How is it that entrepreneurship and innovation can assist in solving societal problems as opposed to playing a role in creating these problems (e.g., Facebook/Meta). The ideal candidate would also (a) have strong expertise in multiple research methods, with the ability to translate the results of empirical analysis in novel and urgent areas and (b) complement our research strengths while bringing new dimensions to our research profile.

We are interested in individuals who value collegiality, whose research would complement the interests of our existing faculty, and who prefer teaching general entrepreneurship focused classes related to social and sustainable venturing. Evidence of the potential to work effectively in a department that places significant emphasis on interdisciplinary interaction and integration is preferred.
