OECD FTW! The 6th edition of their powerful "Missing Entrepreneurs" report is out next week - so how many entrepreneurs might we have if under-represented groups weren't... under-represented?

    See you there!

    Dear all,

We are really excited to let you know that the Missing Entrepreneurs 2021 will be released at a virtual event on 30 November at 12:00pm CET!

The Missing Entrepreneurs 2021 is the 6th edition in the OECD-EU series of reports that examine inclusive entrepreneurship policies and builds on the women's entrepreneurship event that you attended in OECD's March on Gender 2021. The report shows that there are substantial untapped opportunities for entrepreneurship in populations such as women, youth, the unemployed, and immigrants and highlights the need for more differentiated government entrepreneurship policies that respond to the specific barriers they face.

In addition to reporting on entrepreneurship activity rates by women, immigrants, youth, seniors and the unemployed, it also contains chapters on policies to support microfinance for inclusive entrepreneurship and immigrant entrepreneurship. The report includes country profiles on each of the 27 EU Member States, as well as an assessment of the impact of COVID-19 across these populations of entrepreneurs and the effectiveness of the policy response.

Speakers at the launch will include Joost Korte, Director-General of the European Commission's Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion; Lamia Kamal-Chaoui, Director of the OECD's Centre for Entrepreneurship, SMEs, Regions and Cities; and Jonathan Ortmans, President of the Global Entrepreneurship Network. In addition, there will be a roundtable discussion featuring Paula Fitzsimons, Ahmad Sufian Bayram and Jacqueline Winstanley.

Please register here to ensure a space at the event and feel free to pass this along to any interested colleagues or students. After 30 November, you will be able to access the report here.

We hope you will be able to join the discussion next week!

    Best regards,

    David
