Call for papers for the 61st Annual Southwest Academy of Management (Conference Theme: Integration). Submission Deadline: October 25th, 2018

The Southwest Academy of Management Conference is pleased to announce a call for papers for its Annual Conference. We also seek reviewers for the various tracks and track-chairs can be contacted directly for the same (CFP has info on each track and I am one of the chairs for Entrepreneurship / Small Business / Family Business / Innovation so please feel free to email me).

The theme of this conference is "Integration." Our affiliate Academy of Management's 2017 conference theme was "At the Interface", which explored all the ways that interfaces separate and connect people. Our theme, "Integration", explores the dissolution of interfaces, with all the ensuing benefits, consequences, and issues. What happens when boundaries between ideas, people and organizations disappear? People with different backgrounds might work together to find common solutions to shared problems, teachers might begin to make use of new technology to reach new students, fields of study might merge to develop a mutually enlightening theory, companies might combine to reinforce their strengths and reduce each other's weaknesses, teams might join efforts to invent a new and revolutionary product, and countries might come to together, as North and South Korea did during the 2018 Winter Olympics, to inspire hope for world peace. Integration is the doorway to creativity and innovation and produces something new, solving old problems, but sometimes causing new ones. The issues raised by our Theme are important to all of our discipline tracks. Help us explore this interesting phenomenon!
