    We are pleased to inform that the Management Area, school of Business at George Mason University is hiring and following are the details:


    Open-Rank Tenure-Line Faculty of Management - STRATEGY FOCUS

    The Management Area of the School of Business at George Mason University has a Tenure-Line Faculty appointment (open rank) for a qualified individual to teach Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship courses starting August 2019. This is a full-time position with benefits. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

    Responsibilities:
    The teaching load for this position is determined according to the School's workload policy. Additional responsibilities include conducting high quality research and service to the Management Area, the School of Business, the University and the profession, such as student mentoring, committee, and interfacing with the business community. 

    Required Qualifications:
    Earned Ph.D. or equivalent from an AACSB-accredited school in either Strategic Management or Entrepreneurship prior to the start date;
    Record of scholarly and professional accomplishments consistent with an appointment for the appropriate rank, including evidence of potential for publishing significant research in top-tier journals; and;
    Evidence of potential to teach effectively at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    Evidence of significant published or "in press" research in top-tier journals;
    Experience teaching at either the graduate or undergraduate level;
    Evidence of good citizenship and the ability to work well with colleagues.

    The Management Area at the George Mason University School of Business is a vibrant, ambitious and collegial community that highly values excellence in research, teaching, and service. We currently have 13 tenured and tenure-track faculty with diverse research interests in the areas of Strategic Management, Innovation Management, Entrepreneurship and OB/HR. The Management Area also includes several exceptional full-time teaching faculty who are equal partners in our education mission. In the past several years, our tenured and tenure-track faculty have published in many top journals, including Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Administrative Science Quarterly, Management Science, Organization Science, and Strategic Management Journal.
