    Assistant or Associate Professor of Management (Entrepreneurship)

    The Management Department in the College of Business Administration at the University of Central Florida invites applications for a tenure-earning assistant or tenured associate professor position in entrepreneurship. Salary, teaching load, and research support are commensurate with other major research institutions. The anticipated start date is August 2019, but an earlier start date is possible.

    The University of Central Florida is a thriving preeminent research university located in metropolitan Orlando. With more than 66,000 students, UCF is one of the largest universities in the U.S. As such, the university benefits from a diverse faculty and staff who create a welcoming environment and opportunities for all. Tenure track faculty includes Maureen Ambrose, Becky Bennett, Jim Combs, Rob Folger, Steve Goodman, Ron Piccolo, Marshall Schminke, Cameron Ford, Clay Posey, Shannon Taylor, Steve Whiting, Craig Crossley, Dana Joseph, Aaron McKenny, and Tang Wang. In the past five years, our faculty's research has been published in: Academy of Management Annals, Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of Management, Organization Science, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Personnel Psychology, Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, Strategic Management Journal, and other top management research outlets. We also offer a demanding yet supportive doctoral program that regularly places students at other research-intensive universities.

    The successful candidate will have demonstrated research expertise in entrepreneurship and a completed Ph.D. by the start of the Fall 2019 semester from an AACSB accredited institution (ABD will be considered). We seek candidates demonstrating strong potential for excellence in research and teaching. Candidates must be pursuing a high-quality research program with the objective of publishing their work in the top management journals. Preference will be given to candidates who have broad knowledge and experience within the discipline, and who have demonstrated excellence in their teaching and research endeavors.

    In order to be eligible for appointment as a tenured associate professor upon hire, the successful candidate must have a distinguished record of scholarly achievement and teaching experience commensurate with a tenured faculty appointment at the rank of associate professor.
